UI Healthcare Cancer Center Pain Clinic opened on Friday, February 13, 2026. Dr. Joysree Subramanian will staff this clinic, located in the Breast Health Clinic, and will provide interventional pain management services, including pain‑reducing procedure consultations for our patients.

Clinic Structure

  • New Chronic Pain Visit: 60 minutes
  • Return Chronic Pain Visit: 30 minutes
  • Hours: 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
  • Latest new appointment: 3:00 PM
  • Clinic Days: 2nd & 4th Fridays

Visit Expectations

  • Visits are evaluation‑only.
  • No procedures are performed in clinic.
  • All procedures require prior authorization and will be scheduled in the ASC primarily and sometimes IRL.

About Dr. Subramanian

Dr. Subramanian is a highly experienced pain specialist with expertise in interventional pain management, using advanced ultrasound and fluoroscopy‑guided techniques. She is skilled in spinal cord stimulation, peripheral nerve stimulation, and intrathecal drug delivery systems and is board certified in Anesthesiology and Pain Management.

She previously served in notable academic leadership roles, including:

  • Associate Professor & Director of Pain Medicine — University of Oklahoma
  • Assistant Professor of Anesthesiology & Pain Management — UT Southwestern
  • Assistant Professor of Anesthesiology — Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center

Her interests include adult and pediatric pain, neuromodulation, and cancer pain management.
