Welcome to the Department of Anesthesia at the University of Iowa.
The University of Iowa has been a leader in anesthesiology clinical care, education, and research for more than 100 years. We're looking for brilliant physicians and CRNAs to continue this tradition for the next century. University of Iowa Health Care is Iowa's only comprehensive academic medical center, employing nearly 900 physicians and more than 2,500 nurses. UI Health Care is an 811-bed tertiary and quaternary care facility, as well as a Level 1 trauma center. Stead Family Children's Hospital is a 183-bed state-of-the-art pediatric facility. The Carver College of Medicine's thriving research enterprise has received $2 billion in NIH funding over the last decade.
